Information for Tourists

welkom

Welcome to Schijndel, a vibrant town in the south of the Netherlands. Our most famous landmark is the Glass Farm, located in the central market square.

This unique building was designed by the world-renowned architecture firm MVRDV. Its glass facade is printed with an image composed of photographs of traditional local farms, but scaled 1.6 times larger than life. The building houses shops, restaurants, and offices. The creation of the Glass Farm was a long process, with this being the seventh design proposed for the location which was damaged during World War II.

Schijndel offers a charming town center for shopping and relaxing on one of the many café terraces. Enjoy the local 'Brabant' hospitality, explore the surrounding nature, and experience a unique blend of history and modernity.
